Hangar 18: Part 3

Hey guys, had writer's block for a bit. But I'm back. So here's the final chapter o my Hangar 18 Series. Sequel to come.

I starred out at the night sky. "ETA Five minutes" The pilot's voice crackled over the radio. "All right, lock and cock it." I said hoping this would convey the seriousness of the situation. "Four man team hitting the ground, you guys better be on my ass like flies on honey. We have no room for mistakes." I surveyed the team. Hell. Johnson was just a scientist anymore, I hadn’t seen real action in a few years. This Malloy character seemed marine, but retired. I went back to watching the stars fly by as dawn cracked over the horizon. "All right guys, thirty seconds out." The Pilot counted down till the drop zone. "3…2…1… DROP! DROP!" We rappelled down the ropes and instantly hit a two by two formation. "Keep quiet and keep to the shadows." I whispered. We entered through the service entrance. "Contact left!" Lacy yelled as she discharged three shots and downed a suspect. I ran over to suspect and felt for a pulse. "Nothing. Congratulations, Lacy. Your first alien kill." I said.

We continued on for sometime after that. Running down corridors, shooting the violent aliens who attacked us. When we finally reached the control room it was infested with larvae of one of the more violent species. "Incendiary." Lacy said as she chucked a grenade through the window. Immediately the larvae went up like a fucking fourth of July party. We attached the remote control device to the computers and fought our way back out. When we shut the doors we locked everything in, Purged the facility and killed any living creature that could have been inside… "That’s about it." I finished my debrief. "Well McGee, that’s good to know that you and three people did exactly what three platoons of military specialists couldn’t." The smug FBI bastard glared at me. "It’s a marine thing." I smiled cockily back at the man. "We’ll be in touch." I checked my new .44 out from the front desk and walked out to Lacy in the truck. "Hey, babe." I said as I jumped into the driver’s seat. We kissed hello. "Well, can you believe it?" she asked. "What?" She replies. "We met at a fucking war zone where we had to kill aliens." "I know babe. I gotta admit though, seeing you for the first time in that tac gear. Love at first sight." I smiled lovingly. "Mexico?" She asked. "Mexico."
